I'm  a teacher of Applied Linguistics and Didactis for Lecturs of the Personnel Formation Center of 
the "Banco do Brasil," and director of the "Incorporadora Arruda Ltda." I  was born in São João do Paraíso (MG), Brazil. I have a B.A. in Language and Literature, and a degree in Laws. I also have postgraduate courses in Linguistics, Semantics and Literature.

          In Montes Claros, I had been a student leader and a leader of the Bank Clerks Association, professor of the "Universidade Estadual", president of the City Council, 
president of the "Academia Montesclarense de Letras", presidente of the "Conselho Regional Espírita" and of the 
"Elos Clube". I had been a delegate to the Freemasonry 
Supreme Council, head of the "Departamento de Letras da FAFIL", coordinator of the "Feira de Artes" and one of the founders of the School of Laws, in Montes Claros. In l982, I received the title of Montes Claros Distinguished Citizen from the City Council.

          I'm  a chronicle writer and poet, with publications in
 many Brazilian anthologies. I'm  the author of "TEMPOS DE MONTES CLAROS", "JORNAL DE DOMINGO" and "O DIA EM QUE CHIQUINHO SUMIU". I take part in three academies: "Montesclarense de Letras","Municipalista de Letras de Minas Gerais" (in Belo Horizonte-MG) and the "Academia de Letras dos Funcionários do Banco do Brasil" (Rio de Janeiro (RJ). I'm a member of the Brazilian League of Esperanto (Brasília (DF) and the Universala Esperanto Asocio (Holland). Team Leader in the International Assembly 2000/2001 of Rotary International , Anaheim, Los Angeles, USA, and in the Brazilian Rotary Institute, Recife(PR). I´m elected Representative of the District 4760 to Legislation Council 
2001, in  Chicago, USA.

         Participation in International Congress of  Elos Internacional da Comunidade Lusíada, Lisbon, Teresopolis and Belo Horizonte; International Congress of Spiritism, Brasília,
DF; International Congress of Spirit-Esperantists, Brasília,DF; International Assembly of Rotary, Los Angeles (Anaheim); and Festival   Panamericano del Proyecto Cultural Sur de Escritores
y Artistas, Habana.

         My first contact with Rotary was in 1955 as a journalist. He is a founding-member of the Rotary Club of Montes Claros, where I had served in all positions. Various times, I had been representative to the District Governor. I had been a lecturer 
at many seminars, forum and district conferences. I was 4760 District Governor in 1994/1995. I had taken part in the founding of 19 Rotary Clubs (District 4760) and is honorary member of several ones in Belo Horizonte (MG) and Montes Claros (MG). He is Paul Harris Fellow (with safire) and Benefactor of the Rotary Foundation. In 1995, I received two most important international awards destined to brazilian district governor, the Paul V.C.Costa Award. International Presidents Glen Kinross and James Lacy and Carlo Ravizza's  Representative in the District Conferences of Blumenau (SC), Itaparica (Ba) and Goiania (GO). 

         I'm  married to Olímpia Rego Arruda. We  have seven children: João Wlader ( Lawyer - Sunrise Tulsa Rotary Club), José Danilo (Caixa Econômica Federal), Denilson ( journalist), Wladênia Lawyer, English Teacher), Wanderlino Filho( Video producer- Montes Claros-União Rotary Club), Rizzia Bank Emploer in Canton, OH, U>S.A.) and Graciellem Enterpriser), 
and six grandchildren: Fernanda Isabela, Mayra, Lívia, Pedro Henrique, Roberto and Natália.
